Sync Inventory between two Shopify stores

Need a simple solution to sync inventory between your multiple Shopify stores? You are at the right door.

Managing inventory across multiple Shopify stores can be a simple task with the right procedure. In this guide, you will learn to automate inventory syncing across two or more Shopify stores, allowing you to monitor stock levels without continuously checking and updating each one.

Syncerize makes it simple to update inventory in real-time. Moreover, it ensures that your stores remain in sync whether you’re managing restocks, returns, or new sales.

You can minimize manual tasks, lower the chance of overselling, and ensure that your inventory is always updated by automating these processes. Let’s begin looking into this effective strategy for optimizing your business management!

Step 1: Install Syncerize on both Shopify stores

Start by installing ‘Syncerize’ from the Shopify App Store. Simply click on the “Install” button to begin. You’ll need to install the app on all the Shopify stores you wish to connect.

You’ll be asked to choose a “Store Type” for each store during the setup process. There are two types of stores for connection, the Source Store, and the Destination Store. Here’s how to determine which type to select:

Source Store: This store is the main store holding the main inventory and product details. Select this option for the store that serves as the central point for product data and stock levels.

Destination Store: Destination store serves as the child store. It will sync inventory from the source store. Choose this store type for stores that need to automatically update product information and stock levels from the supplier Store.

Step 2: Connecting Your Shopify Stores

1. Connect from the Source Store

Open the Syncerize dashboard on your Source Store (the store that holds the primary inventory) to start the connection process

  • You will see a unique store key displayed on the main dashboard of the Source Store. This kep will be used to connect with destination store.

3. Sending a Connection Invitation (Source Store)

You can also send the connection invitaion to the destination store from your source store, which will make the connection process even easier.

  • Click on “Send Invitation” in the top right corner of the dashboard in the ‘Stores’ section of the Source Store.

Once the Destination Store receives the Connection Invitation via email, follow these steps:

  • Go to the ‘Stores’ section of the Destination Store.
  • Click on the “Add New Store” button at the top right corner.
  • A new prompt will appear. Enter the unique key shared in the invitation and click “Connect” to complete the process.

Unsyncing Products: What to Know

In some cases, you may want to unsync a product. Syncerize offers two options to do this:

  • Unsync Only: This option stops syncing the product but keeps it in the Destination store.
  • Delete and Unsync: This option removes the product from the Destination store, along with its saved attributes.

Note:

If you’ve chosen “Unsync Only,” you can resync the product later using product mapping. However, if you opted for “Delete and Unsync,” you’ll need to redo the entire sync process to bring the product back.

Syncing Existing Products (Product Mapping)

Syncerize offers product mapping to match them with the Source store’s inventory for products that already exist in the Destination store. Here’s how:

  1. Go to Products and Select the Product to Map

Under the “Unsynced” category, choose the product and click the “Map” button.

  1. Confirm and Match

Confirm to start the search for matching products. Syncerize will display it if a product with the same SKU and number of variants is found. Select the available options and click “Map” to finalize.

Bulk Mapping Tip:

If you’re working with many products, Syncerize’s Bulk Mapping feature allows you to map up to 500 products at once.
